The dental assistant supports the delivery of dental care by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; Assists dentists during dental procedures, and maintains office documentation and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. They are also responsible for taking dental X-rays, inquiring about the patient's medical history, and making sure patients are comfortable. Usually a body rating, along with on-the-job training.
